He died in 2004 and a few months later, Dana announced she had lung cancer.

She had never been a smoker.“Many callers have mentioned Reeve's death and asked about risks and symptoms,” said Christine Winter, Public Relations Specialist for the Cancer Society.

“The calls to our Quitline were up 10 percent and calls to our helpline were up 8 percent.”The Society's National Volunteer President Carolyn D.

Runowicz, MD said, “Her death serves as a reminder that in 2006 there will be an estimated 174,470 new cases of lung cancer and an estimated 162,460 Americans will die from the disease.” In St.

Francois County, and throughout the U.S., there are more deaths reported from lung cancer than any other cancer.
