Coroner’s fears over asbestos death toll

Mr Earl’s duties include...

" Last week, Hollywood lost Don Knotts, Dennis Weaver and Darren McGavin.

One gave us hours of innocent laughs in the 1960s and '70s; one kept us suspensefully riveted to our easy chairs for hours during the late 1970s; and one portrayed a dad whose delight in giving his son a cherished gift brought tears to our eyes.

That Kirby Puckett and Dana Reeve died on the same day this week normally would not be a big news story.

But they were so young.
