Published on Wednesday, March 08, 2006 Appeals Court backs $7.5 million award By Paul WoolvertonStaff writer ADVERTISEMENT A man who was exposed to asbestos throughout his 38-year career at the CSX railroad properly won a $7.5 million judgment against the company, the state Court of Appeals said in a ruling issued Tuesday.

In an unrelated case, the court said that a woman from Robeson County can continue her medical malpractice lawsuit against a doctor over his treatment for problems with her lower intestines.
